"Take Me to TFN" Conference Scholarship Contest

EPIP Seattle is officially opening the “Take Me to TFN!” Conference Scholarship Contest. One very fortunate EPIP Seattle member will win a full scholarship to attend TFN’s Annual Conference, which is coming to Seattle March 26-28, 2012, and will be featured on EPIP Seattle’s blog and TFN’s national website.

About the Conference: The TFN conference is a funder only conference designed by funders, for funders. The conference offers a mix of networking and active learning opportunities in a setting that fosters in-depth dialogue about the most complex issues facing communities today. It provides practitioners a chance to network, learn, and share alongside national and place-based funders from across the country that employ programmatic, policy, and civic engagement strategies to address issues of inclusion, equity, sustainability and prosperity in their funding. Past conference sessions have included topics like: Reinventing Community Narratives; Entrepreneurs, Immigrants, and Equity; Rethinking Urban Land Use; and Working with Government: The Promise and the Problems.

…And all you have to do TO ENTER is follow these 3 easy steps:

  1. Read about The Funder’s Network & their Annual Conference on their website.
  2. Write a 150-words-or-less essay (that’s only 3 short paragraphs, people!) on why YOU should be the winner of a full scholarship to the 2012 TFN conference, and submit your essay answer to epipseattle@gmail.com with the subject line “Take me to TFN!” by Friday, February 10, 2012.
  3. Brush those pearly whites because if you are the lucky winner, we will shoot a brief video of you which will be posted on EPIP Seattle’s blog and promoted on TFN’s national website (just a little something-something to show your boss!). Don’t fret if you’re camera-shy; we’ll make sure you look & sound good! The video is a great opportunity to promote EPIP and EPIP Seattle to a larger philanthropic audience.
